Professor Oyeronke Olufunmilola OGUNLADE is a distinguished academic and seasoned educator currently serving in the Department of Educational Technology, Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Her professional journey in the field of education spans over three decades, beginning with a fruitful tenure of more than twenty years at a College of Education, where she rose through the ranks and attained the pinnacle of her career. In 2008, she transitioned to the University of Ilorin, bringing with her a wealth of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration.
Since joining the university, Professor Oyeronke Ogunlade has made significant contributions to institutional development and academic leadership. She has held several key administrative positions, including serving as the Postgraduate Programme Coordinator, Head of Department, and Director of the Centre for Open and Distance Learning. In these roles, she has been instrumental in advancing educational innovation, promoting flexible learning systems, and supporting the professional development of both students and staff.
Her research interests are broad and interdisciplinary, with a strong focus on Instructional Technology, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Education, e-Learning, and the application of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning. She is a prolific scholar with over 70 scholarly publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, book chapters, and academic texts published in reputable outlets both locally, nationally and internationally. She has also served as lead paper presenters in various national coneferences.
An active participant in the global academic community, Professor OyeronkeOgunlade has attended numerous conferences—both virtually and physically—across Nigeria and internationally, where she has presented research findings and collaborated with fellow scholars. Her commitment to mentorship is evident in her successful supervision of over 30 Masters dissertations and 20 Ph.Ds., theses, reflecting her dedication to nurturing the next generation of educational technologists and researchers.
She is also a recognized member of various professional associations within and outside Nigeria, through which she continues to contribute to the advancement of educational technology as a discipline.
