Mission Statement
The mission of the Department of Educational Technology is to provide personally and intellectually challenging superior student-focused education. To accomplish this task the Department hopes to drive best practices and the highest standards of educational provision through the following:
- Preparing progressive, innovative, and academically sound school learning applications’ designers, library media specialists, and educational technology leaders;
- Preparing teachers to be creative and develop their expertise in integrating technology in their instruction;
- Model, promote, manage, and evaluate digital-age teaching and learning resources in all education environments,
- Support the development of new methodologies, and use of new technologies by enhancing skills in research and technology;
- Pioneering innovative delivery options by leveraging on technology to maximize educational experiences;
- Forge connections between research, policy, and practice in educational technology, computer science education and technology education.
