Professor Nafisat Afolake Adedokun-Shittu is an accomplished academic, emotional intelligence coach, mentor, and educational innovator specialising in Educational Technology at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. With a multidisciplinary background — including a Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, a Bachelor’s in Information Technology, and a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication — she blends technology, pedagogy, and local relevance in her work.
She is the visionary behind the GLOCALISE initiative, a revolutionary project promoting localised teaching strategies for solving African problems using global knowledge. Through GLOCALISE ILORIN, 2018, GLOCALISE KWARA, 2023, and GLOCALISE GOWN, TOWN & CROWN 2024 workshops, she has trained over 1,000 teachers across Nigeria. Her innovations, including the eco-friendly GLOCALISE Projector and Climate Action Curriculum, have gained national and international acclaim, earning recognition from UNESCO, the Nigerian Ministry of Education, and international events like TETFAIR 2024 and D8 2024.
Professor Adedokun-Shittu has published over 50 scholarly works, led international research collaborations, and developed educational solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, and Green Technologies. She partners with organizations like UNESCO ASPNet to train students, teachers, and skilled workers in innovative learning and intellectual property development.
